Essentials of Management & Leadership in Plastics is a six-month online program. Cohort #5 will start in Fall 2026. The program is open to early to mid-level career professionals (with varying titles and roles within specific organizations) who are looking to become leaders or strengthen their leadership skills at their companies and in the plastics industry. No other Leadership Certificate program exists that is specifically designed for those in the plastics industry.

Leadership Skills

During this program, participants will engage in the following leadership topics:

  • Strengths-based leadership
  • Strategic planning
  • Organizational culture, innovation & creativity
  • Basic financial literacy
  • Leader awareness & boundaries

The Learning Journey

Essentials of Management & Leadership in Plastics is a cohort-based program with opportunities for participants to interact with learning materials on their own schedule, asynchronously, as well as participate in live group training sessions, synchronously, with other learners.

To succeed in Essentials of Management & Leadership in Plastics, learners will need to:

  • Dedicate the time necessary to complete the readings and assignments
  • Attend and participate in the live virtual sessions for each module
  • Create a confidential and safe learning environment with their cohort
